DR. Dustin Johnson
BSc, MD, Cardiology and Electrophysiology Specialist
Dr. Johnson is a native Albertan. Medical training took him to Grenada, West Indies for medical school at St. George's University. This was followed by speciality training in Internal Medicine at University of Texas at Houston, fellowship training in General Cardiology at Texas A&M in Temple, Texas and further subspeciality training in Cardiac Electrophysiology at University of Calgary.
Dr. Johnson sees patients with a wide variety of cardiac issues, but specializes in caring for patients with heart rhythm disorders. His clinical practice involves outpatient clinic, hospital service, stress testing, ECG and holter reading, and echocardiogram interpretation. In addition, he is the clinical lead at the Cardiac Device Clinic at the Chinook Regional hospital. In this role he is involved in the surgical implantation and clinical follow up of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices, including pacemakers and defibrillators.
He is passionate about providing excellent clinical care and improving the heart health of his patients through a combination of lifestyle modification and appropriate medical intervention.
In his imaginary spare time Dr. Johnson enjoys skiing, hiking, CrossFit, biking, and spending time with his wife and 5 children.
